A thoughtfully designed and quality built tool is only part of the equation.   We feel that tooling is only a means to the ultimate end, a quality extruded product.   This is why we offer our customers the added service of tool development.   We continually reinvest in our internal extrusion lab.   When the scope of the project requires and allows we have the capability to dry, blend, and extrude your material with your tooling on our extrusion line and make appropriate changes to the tooling and process in order to provide you with a turn-key tooling solution.   Our on-staff extrusion technicians can also provide this service at your facility on your equipment as well when the project requires.   They are familiar with both twin-screw and single-screw extrusion technology and have worked with a multitude of polymers and applications.   Their background is design and tool-making and while working at your facility they would utilize your internal tool-room facilities for required tool modifications.   If you do not have such facilities available we can arrange to have our unique Mobile Tuning Lab sent to your facility to be used by our technicians while on-site.

It is sometimes difficult for our OEM clients to determine exactly what they require in terms of production tooling until they finalize their product design.   This often requires preliminary samples of their extruded product.   Automated offers the service of Product Development.   We will work with you to advise on "extrusion-friendly" designs, and can then provide you with prototype tooling and samples for your testing.
